Most of us are too caught up in our mundane lives, and when we actually do have some time to spare, it is spent in front of the television or in the kitchen trying to prepare a decent meal. But, how many of us utilize this time to bring about a change?
Its a fact that giving the gift of time to is instrumental for development and success of any project that comes under CSR.
The gift of time to just teach, listen or help can make a huge difference. So, let’s attempt to make volunteering a part of our culture and volunteer not just to give back to the community, but also to learn and grow in that process!
Volunteering events organized by IFG are skillful and joyful at the same time. An incident made one of the volunteer of IFG feel extremely special was, when one of the girls at Rasta school asked her to say a few lines in English. She later admitted that she have never been so flattered in her life. These kids find happiness in the smallest of things and when you see a smile or you receive a heartfelt thank you from a child, you know that you have made a difference!
Let’s try more and more to bring a cheer to the lives of children who need it the most. It is the easiest way of saying thank you to the universe!
The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.”― Kalu Ndukwe Kalu
